“New Heights selected as monthly recipient of G. Willikers! Toy Shop’s charitable “Bag-Free Initiative.”

Portsmouth, NH—September 29, 2009—For every customer that chooses to go “bag-free,” G. Willikers! Toy Shop will donate 10 cents to benefit the out-of-school program New Heights in October.

Noting that charitable giving to local nonprofits has always been one of their top priorities, Jody Breneman, co-wner of G. Willikers! Toy Shop, said this approach has seemed to raise a new awareness to their efforts.

“It has evoked a lot of positive responses and has helped engage children in the discussion about conservation and charitable giving,” said Breneman “We try to always thank our customers for choosing to conserve and often let our young customers place the dime in our piggy bank themselves.”

For Tracey Tucker, New Heights’ director, the support shown by G. Willikers! Toy Shop is indicative of the kind of support upon which the program has come to rely.

“In order for us to be successful and sustainable in this economy, it is relationships like this that are so crucial,” said Tucker. “We are very excited to be apart of this and feel very fortunate to have been chosen as a beneficiary by G. Willikers! Toy Shop.
